The yellow race marks that comprise our “Olympic Circle” have now been installed, along with two additional marks: Q mark has been installed 1.4 Nm due north of NSC’s harbour entrance, near the Quebec Shore, and QP mark has been installed off Queen’s Park.

These marks are shown on our race marks chart, and have also been added to the Navionics database. As shown on the Navionics chart, marks Q, C, H and QP are also now lit. An Excel spreadsheet of the location of these marks is also available for download from the above page.

Mark QP is 1.0 Nm northwest of Aylmer Island, and 0.5 Nm from the Quebec Shore; this mark will be used for the BYC-hosted Queen’s Park races, which are part of out Interclub Long-Distance (ILD) Series, as well as for the Women’s Up-River race in September.

The Olympic circle is used for NSC’s famous Turkey Trot Race, the BYC RUST Series, and various other events.

Thanks to Tony Latus, John Gardner, et al for this effort.
