This past Sunday, NSC assisted in transporting volunteers to Aylmer Island for a shoreline clean up. 13 volunteers from Ottawa Riverkeeper and Deep Blue Cleanup and three boat drivers from NSC removed 44 pounds of garbage and a derelict fiberglass dinghy. The day was a great success and more shoreline cleanups along our stretch of the river are planned for the future.

To further support these efforts, Deep Blue Cleanup is selling insulated coffee tumblers that are made from upcycled materials. They are available at the front office for $50.

We thank all the volunteers who came out to assist and look forward to the next shoreline cleanup!
