John Rae has been an active racer for over 47 years and is still learning. He has also been a sailing instructor and racing coach.
He has owned and raced several boats over the years including Lasers, a Shark, a J/24, a Goman Express 35 and currently a J/22.
A member at NSC and previously BYC for 22 years combined, John is currently on the Board of Directors at NSC as Treasurer and previously as Sail Training Director. His career has mostly been in high tech with Sales and Management roles at Stanley Healthcare, Intel and Pronexus. Currently John is part owner and Sales Director at Competition Composites Inc., a SME composites manufacturer based in Arnprior, Ontario.
