The final Frostbite event is Sunday, October 18, in time trial format, with a start window 13:30-14:00.

  • Boats may start any time within the start window.
  • Course “W” as per existing Frostbite SI. 3 laps PHRF. 2 laps JAM. 2 laps dinghy/cat.
  • RRS apply.
  • PHRF and JAM boats must fly pennant colour as per Frostbite SI.
  • Handicaps as per Frostbite SI apply.
  • Timing boat will record start and finish time of each boat.
  • Timing boat will fly RC and W flags, but will make no other signals.
  • The time limit for a boat to sail the course is 90 minutes from her start. A boat failing to complete within the time limit will be scored DNF. A boat retiring must inform the timing boat.
  • A time trial will not be postponed.
  • Before the beginning of the start time window, a time trial may be abandoned if weather conditions are unsuitable. Signal N over A may be displayed on the NSC flagpole, and the abandonment may be hailed periodically on VHF 72.
  • After the beginning of the start time window, a time trial will be abandoned if conditions become unsafe. The timing boat will signal abandon by leaving its post.
  • Only 1 trial per day.
