An NSC member discovered a deadhead (a log sticking out of the water). GPS coordinates are: N 45° 23.107’, W 75° 52.351’ (45.385116°,-75.87251°). Depth in the area is 14 feet.

Long time BYC member and well known Ottawa racer Kirk Robertson and his partner fulfilled a 20 year “promise” to themselves by sailing a stock Tanzer 26 (with outboard) to Halifax.
Dry Sail Park sailors: The docks are closing October 28 or 29
Good News: We have made plans to replace the wooden decking on the “inner sections” of both Dry Sail docks. The “inner sections” are the ones that connect the main “T” to shore. You may recall that these sections are disconnected each year when the harbour is closed, usually the 1w or 2w of November.
NOD 2020 – Step Up To The Chair
NOD 2020 currently needs a chairperson (or 2). I ask you to step up and help create another successful event. This is a most satisfying role to play. Sailors from 80 boats will be delighted by your great sailing event, which is June 20 + 21.
Friedemann Weinhardt, 1955 – 2018
It is with great sadness that we mark the sudden and tragic passing of NSC Member and Ottawa business owner Friedemann Weinhardt. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends. In respect, NSC’s flag will fly at half-mast.
