Our first anchoring clinic for cruising boats was held on July 14, and we were pleasantly amazed by the turnout. Teams from 16 boats enjoyed the technical presentation on how, where and when to anchor. Thanks to NSC volunteers Rick Anderton, John Moss, Rick Nelson, and local expert Ken Aalders, who together created and delivered the training.

The on-water practice was kept to just 2 or 3 teams, because the wind was up and it was our first time trying this event. The volunteers are hoping to reconnect with some of the attendees later in the season, to repeat the on-water section.

As this event was well received, we will look to repeat and enhance the clinic next year.
