Want to cruise up river, but concerns about anchoring prevent you from considering an overnight stay? We are hosting a free anchoring clinic on July 14 at 1 p.m. On-land demonstration and on-water practice. Please pre-register to help us plan.
We’ll start with an indoor session with demonstrations. Expect to cover anchor types, chain, rode, kellets, scope, and techniques (approx 1 hour).
After the demonstrations, you will take your boats out to Graham Bay or Crystal Bay, which are respectively just East and West of our harbour. Minimum of 2 people per boat. We will practice as a group with VHF support of coaches.
Please sign-up by July 12 at the NSC online portal indicating skipper name, boat name, number of crew.
