Club (Commercial) Launch was successfully completed this past Saturday (June 8). Despite a mechanical problem with one of the cranes, all boats were in the water by 1500 hrs. A huge thank you to the organizers, crew chiefs and many volunteers who made it all happen so smoothly. “Bravo Zulu” to all!

Linda Macdonald, 1948-2012
Bruce Macdonald’s wife, Linda, passed away Dec. 22 after a prolonged illness. Bruce was with her at the time and said she was at peace. The funeral service will be private but Bruce has planned a “Celebration of Life” in NSC’s East Room on Sunday 20 Jan. 2013, from 2 to 5pm. See Linda’s obituary.
George Simpson – A Celebration of His Life, May 8, 1:00 P.M.
A celebration of life will be held for George Simpson in the Harbourview Hall on May 8, 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. George was a founding member of the Able Sail program at NSC; he died October 15, 2021. See this obituary and read Peter Wood’s tribute, outlining George’s role in starting the Able Sail program.
