As of 22 May, the water levels around NSC continue to slowly recede, but remain high. The North Crane is now operational but the South Crane is not as of yet. Electrical power has been restored to most of the yard. Members are permitted to begin launching their boats and are encouraged to contact the Service Providers now to begin launching boats. Note that vehicle traffic into the yard is restricted to only those members launching their boats on trailers.

The main docks have been checked and are now considered safe to use. The Service and F (Face) docks are not yet in place so members launching their boats will need to move directly to the main docks and tie their boats off there immediately. Plans for the Club (Commercial) Launch are in the works but it will occur no earlier than 1 June 2019. The exact date will be confirmed shortly. Plans for Group Trailer Launch are being made up now with a tentative date of this coming weekend (25 or 26 May).

If members have a boat on a trailer in the yard, they are asked to make sure the trailer is ready to move. This means no jacks or blocks underneath, all covers completely removed, no hitch locks and the tires are checked. Members are requested to do this as soon as possible so NSC staff can shuffle boats around over the next few weeks as launching and yard preparations take place.

Members are reminded that the Federal Government ban for marine navigation on the Ottawa River (including Lac Deschênes) remains in effect. As a result, while boats can be launched and moved to their moorings in the harbour, boats are not permitted beyond the harbour entrance until this ban is lifted.
