NSC Martin 16 sailors Brian Peckover (Gold fleet) and Doreen Ames (Silver fleet) placed first at the 2018 Mobility Cup Championships held Aug 27-31 at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron in the northwest arm of Halifax Harbour!
Spirits were high for the thirty-five competitors after the mussel and corn boil, complete with Cape Breton musicians, a lobster dinner, live music and a barbeque hosted by the Ley family, winning them the Zambuka Cup for best partiers at the Regatta (thanks Don, Wendi & Doreen). Our youngest rookie competitor Alex Krneta (14 years old) placed 6th overall in the silver fleet and was accompanied by the Olympian Paul Tingley one day. All and all our NSC’s gold fleet placed 1, 7, 12 and 13 and Silver fleet 1, 6. Many thanks to all of the competitors and volunteers.
