Our racing program depends on Race Committee Volunteers signing up, and showing up. When insufficient RC volunteers are expected (i.e. not all slots have been filled), or if volunteers have not shown up, the RC will postpone ashore. The postponement will be signaled by flying code flag AP from the NSC flagpole, coincident with two sound signals, per SI 7. The postponement will apply only to the NSC-hosted course.
If volunteers are not immediately forthcoming, the RC will then press-gang someone into duty, per SI 21.8.
