Our next winter speaker might is on February 21, when Parke Davis and Henry Gilbert offer practical guidance on adding eco-friendly charging capability to your boat.
Parke equipped his boat with solar panels to keep the batteries charged. This was tested both down the intracoastal waterway, and for many summers on the Ottawa River. Henry adds his experience with wind power, based on extensive experience in the Caribbean. Parke and Henry will cover the process of quantifying your boat’s energy requirements, sourcing the required equipment & the installation process.
The kitchen opens at 5.00 pm, and the presentation will start at 7:30 p.m. Check the Galley menu for specials. Members of all local sailing clubs obtain a discount on food purchases by showing a valid club membership card. Attendees are asked to make a donation to support the NSC Legacy fund.
