Sewing Workshops – Cushions, Mattresses, Curtains, Sail Covers & Stack Packs etc. A meeting will be held at NSC Saturday April 23 at 11:00 am in the Sailing Room to discuss the establishment of a series of Sewing Workshops for those members with sewing projects.

It is currently envisaged that the sewing will take place in Harbourview Hall with members assisting each other in the choice of suppliers for fabrics etc, in design work, and in the layout/cutting & sewing.

This initial meeting will be focused on assessing interest in such Workshops & getting organized including sourcing appropriate sewing machines.

Jerry Dain has donated a sewing machine that is appropriate for “lighter” tasks and fabrics such as for covering cushions & mattresses or making curtains.

Jim & Fran Kelly will be present to discuss their past projects which include making a Mainsail Cover, a Stack Pack (with Lazy Jacks), a Bimini, Cockpit Sun Shades, Tiller Cover, and Curtains.
