There is the possibility of a partially submerged object between NSC and BYC.
One of our members was sailing a dinghy on Friday (June 26th) evening in the area between the NSC and BYC clubs, roughly 45.363799 N, 75.817762 W, and hit a large submerged object. They indicated that there was a buoy about 250m west south west of them. The force popped the centerboard and rudder up completely.
“The hull of my dinghy vibrated as we drifted over the object, and we seemed to move with it for a while. It wasn’t a tree or log — more like the upturned hull of a boat, or part of a dock. My rudder was scraped slightly with green color, but luckily no other damage”.
If you see or come into contact with the object please let the office know.
