In an effort to increase the awareness of our Able Sail program, our Martin Sailboat #16 was on the move throughout the city with an entourage of volunteers and admirers.
1st Stop: The Robin Easy Centre. Fraser, Richard, Marcel and Bernie promoted NSC’s Able Sail program to over 20 staff and clients. # 16 put on a good show with sails up and assistive devices functional.
2nd Stop: The Ottawa Hospital ReHab Centre • Join the Movement: Get Active Sports Fair The Rehab Centre and Spinal Cord Injury Ontario combined forces to present an adaptive sports and recreation fair designed for people with spinal cord injuries or physical disabilities. # 16 shared the limelight with adaptive rowing machines, bicycles, bocci balls, hockey sticks, table tennis, sit skis and all sorts of equipment used for multiple adaptive sports. She is now back home ready to have her beauty treatment – an anti fouling refresher before launch.
