Would you bet $200 that you have the right safety equipment on board?  That’s the cost of a fine for not having the required safety equipment in good working order on your boat. Let Canadian Power & Sail Squadron volunteers help you beat the odds.

As part of its annual Boating Safety campaign, the Canadian Power & Sail Squadron is conducting courtesy checks at boating facilities throughout Canada over the summer.

NSC will be hosting this event on June 6th from 9:00 a.m. through to 2:00 p.m. There will be a sign-in under the blue marquee near the entrance gate to the docks.

Volunteers will check your boat for free… and if you have everything you need, you’ll get a Safety Inspection Sticker.

If you don’t have everything, they will explain exactly what you should have on board so you can be sure to win that bet.

And once you are boating safely, you’re not just saving $200 – you could be saving your life.
