A Seasoned Champion needed to help facilitate sailing opportunities for seniors!
As part of our mission to help keep our members involved and active, NSC is looking to build a program to allow retired sailors the opportunity to enjoy time out on the water with the comradery of fellow sailors.
We are also looking for others to help out and assist with the development of the program. Some of the ideas that may be considered would be: assistance by the group to rig boats, performing maintenance tasks, group day sails, teaming up with less seasoned individuals to provide mentorship, or whatever else you want this program to be. The club would set up an environment to facilitate the program, and help match people up, but the program would be run by the users.
If you have some time, are interested in staying active and getting out on the water, I would invite you to an open meeting on Monday June 1st, 2015 at 19h00 in the Harbourview Hall.
