The Cloud, and in particular, BOX (box.com), will be increasingly used to store PDF, Word, Excel, PPT and other documents.

The main advantage of using BOX is that large files (like the Telltale issues and the harbour plan) do not need to be downloaded to be viewed and so become accessible to members who do not have an hight speed Internet connection. Please note that you will need the latest Flash plugin for your browser to view the document online.

Once you are redirected to a file stored on BOX via a link on NSC.CA, it will automatically load and open in the BOX viewer. To scroll up, down and sideways, use the viewer sliding bars, or the up/ down/ Pg Up/ Pg Dw keyboard control.

If you find the font too small, you can change the ZOOM level of the text: scroll to the bottom of the page, and use the Zoom Control (i.e.: the slider between the + and – magnifying glasses) at the bottom left of the view screen to increase or decrease the viewer font.

As an alternate to the Zoom Control, you can turn the page to full screen by clicking the Screen Contol (which looks like two embedded rectangles) at the bottom left of the view screen. This is particularly suitable to view a Telltale newsletter. To return to normal view, press the Escape key.

You may also be redirected to a BOX folder.
If it contains files, click on a file name to open it.
It it contains sub-folders, click on a folder name to open it.
You can always navigate back between folders by using the bread crumb trail in the upper left corner under the word “box”. For instance, in the image on the right, to go back one level up from 2011, you would click on the word telltale.

To Download a file, click on the large Download button located in a viewing page upper right corner.
