Please be advised that the Quyon cable ferry has started operation. The ferry uses a submerged cable connecting the old ferry terminals at Quyon (Quebec) and Mohr’s Landing (Ontario).
The cable ferry is located just upstream from the Woolsey Narrows.
Important:
- Never pass in front of the cable ferry.
- It is best to pass by the cable ferry when it is not moving.
- If you absolutely must pass by the cable ferry when it is moving, always pass behind it, and stay 250 meters (800 feet) away.
- During a crossing, the cable ferry will raise the cable from the river into the bow of the Ferry and release the cable back into the river at the stern as the Ferry makes way.
- Dot not fish near the cable ferry.
- Do not do water sports near the cable ferry.
