Parts of the Yard will be closed this Sunday morning so that volunteer crews can lay out the locations used for cradles at Commercial Haulout. On Monday, volunteers will be placing cradles in the yard with heavy equipment and access to the Yard will be restricted until they are finished.
Mooring Invoice Letters and current account statements were sent to members via e-mail on February 3rd. As planning and preparation for haulout and winter storage begins, members are reminded of Harbour Policy 7.3.1 that stipulates (under Ontario law) that the discharge of contaminants into the harbour is prohibited. This includes substances such as plumbers antifreeze and ethylene glycol. Boat owners are responsible for the full recovery and removal of these chemicals.
