The Ottawa Kirby 25 fleet is hosting our annual Kirby Day to help Kirby 25 owners and crew hone their skills, tune their boats and improve their knowledge, and to educate and encourage newcomers to the fleet. The Kirby 25 is a technical boat with a passionate following, but you can probably start campaigning one with the change that you can dig out of your couch. We want to grow our fleet and share our enthusiasm, so if you own one, sail on one or are just interested (or bored), please join us on May 26.

Our plan is to start dockside (at the service docks at 10:00 am) and look at set-up and tuning, as well as discuss crew roles. Following that we’ll move onto the water to look at trim and boat speed. We plan to have more experienced Kirby coaches helping the rest of us along, but we’ll have enough to make the day interesting and productive. (If the weather doesn’t cooperate, i.e., downpours, we will reschedule.)
